Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Alys, an AI-powered receptionist service for real estate professionals provided by Liris Technologies Ltd (“Liris”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15882599, with registered office at Tec Marina, Terra Nova Way, CF64 1SA, United Kingdom. By creating an Alys account or otherwise using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

Alys provides software that answers inbound telephone calls on your behalf, transcribes and analyses those calls using artificial intelligence, qualifies callers as potential leads, books appointments against a connected calendar, and delivers summaries of each call to you by email and via your Alys dashboard. The service is accessible at heyalys.com and related subdomains.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use Alys. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that any business information you provide on behalf of a brokerage or team is accurate.

3. Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly at [email protected] of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being misused.

4. Your content and call data

You retain ownership of the call recordings, transcripts, contact information, listing data, and other content you submit to or that is captured by Alys (your “Content”). You grant Liris a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, transmit, store, and display your Content solely as needed to operate and improve the service for you. We do not use your Content to train our own or third-party AI models, and we do not sell it.

5. Caller disclosures, recording consent, and AI identification

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Alys complies with all laws, rules, and professional-licensing requirements that apply to you and to your callers. This includes, without limitation, the obligations set out in this section. Alys provides the tools (a configurable opening greeting, full-call recording and transcription, dashboard auditability) but does not independently determine, monitor, or enforce your compliance.

5.1 Recording and consent

Every call answered by Alys is recorded and transcribed by default. Many US states (including, at the time of writing, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Washington) and many countries outside the US require all parties to a phone call to consent to its being recorded. Where any party to a call is located in such a jurisdiction, you must include an appropriate recording disclosure in the opening greeting you configure for Alys (for example, “this call may be recorded for quality”). Alys does not inject a consent disclosure automatically. The list above is illustrative and not legal advice; you are responsible for keeping current with the law in every jurisdiction in which you or your callers operate.

5.2 AI identification

Some jurisdictions (for example California’s SB 1001) require automated agents engaged in commercial interactions to identify themselves as such. Alys is prompted to confirm she is an AI assistant if a caller asks directly; proactive AI disclosure in your greeting is your responsibility. You may not configure the greeting, persona, or any other aspect of Alys in a way that affirmatively misrepresents the nature of the agent to callers.

5.3 Real-estate licensing and regulated advice

Alys is software; she is not a licensed real-estate professional and does not provide regulated real-estate advice. You are responsible for any disclosures or activities that, under the licensing rules of your jurisdiction, must be carried out by a licensed individual. Alys is prompted not to negotiate price or terms, not to make representations about properties beyond the listing data you supply, and not to invent material facts; you may not configure or instruct her in ways that contravene these constraints, and you remain responsible for the substance of any communication Alys makes on your line.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Alys for any unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, or harmful purpose;
  • upload or attempt to process content that is defamatory, infringing, or that violates a third party’s rights;
  • attempt to access the service or its underlying systems by means other than the interfaces we provide, including reverse engineering or scraping;
  • use the service to make outbound telemarketing or robocalls, or to circumvent do-not-call lists or similar regulations;
  • resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise the service except as permitted under a team or brokerage plan we provide to you.

7. Telephony and third-party services

Alys relies on third-party providers including, without limitation, Twilio (carrier telephony), Vapi (real-time voice infrastructure), Google (calendar integration and language model processing via Gemini), Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), and Resend (transactional email). Your use of Alys is also subject to those providers’ terms where applicable. Call quality, connectivity, and deliverability depend in part on these third parties and the public telephone network, and may vary.

8. Fees, trial, and cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. A 7-day free trial is available on first sign-up; a payment method is required at the start of the trial, and your card will be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel from your dashboard before the trial ends. Fees paid are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing on reasonable notice; changes take effect at the next renewal.

9. AI output disclaimer

Alys uses large language models to transcribe, summarise, and act on calls. AI-generated outputs (including call summaries, suggested actions, lead classifications, and booked appointments) may be inaccurate, incomplete, or otherwise unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing AI outputs before relying on them, and Liris does not warrant any specific outcome or accuracy level.

10. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page of your dashboard; access continues through the end of the paid period. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or if continued provision would expose us to legal, financial, or reputational risk. On termination we will retain and delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Warranty and liability

Alys is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Liris disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the amounts you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email or in-product notice. Continued use of Alys after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, save that we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these Terms in your country of residence or any other relevant country.
